Question by butterfly25baby: What are some good stress relievers?
I exercise on a regular basis, and eat healthy. I am a single mom and it seems like it gets harder and harder but nothing in particular triggers the stress it just all hits at once. I will take a walk or hot baths to relax and I listen to music to ease tension. All this works but it seems like it isn’t working as effectively anymore. What else can i do? Yes sex is included and it works for the moment but only short term. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

What do you think? Answer below!
You’ve mentioned using all the normal stress relievers. Have you tried going to church?
I swear alot. Believe it or not, it has been proven that swearing helps beat stress. This is no joke.
yoga, weight liftting. walking . question and answers on the net. breathing in the nose out of mouth.
Start a journal and see how that helps!
take time for yourself if you can. maybe get up before everyone else does and do some yoga or meditation. it has to be fairly quiet for this but it is worth it. if you cant do that, take a few minutes and do some deep breathing exercises. think of somewhere calm and relaxing, the beach maybe, and breathe in as deeply as you can through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth. do it for as long as you can. lay down, tense up all your muscles, and one by one relax starting from your head down to your toes. i know some of this sounds a little wierd, but it works!
a very cheap stress reliever, get a balloon and fill it with flour, tie the balloon, it then reacts as a stress ball. When you get stressed squeeze as if there is no tomorrow
I use it all the time it’s great i couldn’t live without it
Hope I Helped

Hi, oil burners or incent sticks, from your local aromatherapy shop, massage once a fortnight. I find when I have a cold glass of milk before I go to bed in the morning when I wake my mind is clearer, or Executive B Stress formula with vitimins from your local chemist. I hope I have helped.
i don’t think i can directly answer your question. all i can say is, DO SOMETHING THAT YOU REALLY WANT TO DO OR ENGAGE IN AN ACTIVITY YOU REALLY HAVE PASSION FOR. what activity have you been dying to do? or try something that you have been secretly wanting to experience. don’t just follow whatever they say are “stress-relievers”. it really depends on you on what can relax you. people have different ways on how to relieve stress. it just actually depends on you, on what really works.
i know that being a mom and single it too hard the best way is meditation its the best stress buster by meditating for half an hour or atleast 15 min u will be relaxed u can do it at early morning or any were by just closing ur eyes and just think that ur in a place were no one else is there like a beautiful waterfall or a beach and u will be soo relaxed
if u have any more doubts on fitness or any thing then reply me at khan_speed@yahoo.co.in
Well Obviously there is a reason that you are stressing. So for me I would talk about what ever is bothering to, but to someone I found trust worthy, Or then If Ican’t trust anyone then I get like insence, and candles to sett he mood, I go somewhere alone, and I write in my journal…And say what I wamt. and then I take a deep breath, and release. try it for a few days if it works keep doing it, if it doesn’t…..try something else but not smoking.
It sounds like you have tried all the natural methods but they are not working for you. You need not feel apprehensive about mentioning to your doctor that you need some help in handling your stress. He may prescribe a mild anti-anxiety medication and instruct you to take it only when nothing else has worked and you are truly beside yourself. Don’t ever be afraid to ask your doctor for help when you can’t manage something on your own. It happens to the best of us. A lot of times hormonal shifts cause tension and anxiety. Good Luck
Try NLP…
NLP teaches that a person can develop successful habits by amplifying helpful behaviors and diminishing negative ones. Positive change can come when one carefully reproduces the behaviors and beliefs of successful people (called ‘modeling’). It also states that all human beings have all the resources necessary for success within themselves.
It can be used for relaxation and self improvement. It’s great and has helped me quite a bit.

before you get up from the bed and when you go to bed do this every day;
1 before you get up from the bed:
a) keep the body flat and take deep breaths (max. four cycles per minute) take air from nose and release from mouth. do this while listining to a very light music for at least 5 munites.
b) think of what you have done yesterday and make it a point do something good for sommeone everyday
c) think of what you have to today and give priority to the urgent and important jobs and plan the day and make it a point to complete what you have planned (dont plan anything you cant do)
d) again repeat the step “a” and this whole process should be not more than 1/2 hour
2. before you go to bed
a) do the step “a” of above
b) think of what you have done during the day and actually be sorry if you done something wrong to somebody.
c) Do the step ” a” again and goto sleep
