Q&A: what would you do?

Question by Kelly B: what would you do?
36 weeks pregnant labour deck was very rude to me today?
i was having contraction all night last night,
they were on average every 10 min or so anbd lasted about 20-30 seconds starting in my lower back and wrapping around the front.
I went to the labour deck the female dr was very rude to me told me to sit and wait.
I got sent to a room a nurse came in hooked me up to the monitor for 1 hour of so and left,
the dr came back in asked what was going on checked the paper print out and said i was having contractions.
she then did an internal said i was 1cm could get a finger tip inside and was 25-50% effaced.
She then told me it was ligerment pain and told me to go home…
I tried to tell her that the pain happends no matter if im in the bath walking sitting etc but she walked away and discharged me… on the paper work it said take tylenol..
I understand if im not in active labour they send you home but do they have to be so rude about it,
i called a birthing center ans asked them questions, she told me im most likely in early labour and the baby is low pushing on my cervix causeing effacment and that things could pick up pace fast or this could go on for days/weeks…..why couldnt the labour deck just explain this….
By the way we a a navy family and im stuck with a navy hospital as we are forward deployed in japan

Where can I donate a wheelchair and nebulizer in Jonesboro, GA (metro ATL)?

Question by armybrat1989: Where can I donate a wheelchair and nebulizer in Jonesboro, GA (metro ATL)?
I have a wheelchair, shower chair, and a nebulizer (for asthmatics) that I would love to donate. However, Goodwill and the Red Cross does not accept these items. I’m looking for some place close to either Jonesboro/Stockbridge/McDonough, GA to donate these items, even if it’s a hospital, church, or a private agency.

*** Important*** – Prepper Care – Longterm

I have wanted to make this video for a long time. In fact, it’s been nagging at me to get it done. I hope you will use this information as a springboard for your own long-term care preparations. What I have shown is not a comprehensive list of supplies, but rather a representation of the kinds of supplies you should have on hand. I hope this helps you. If you have the storage room, there are lots of helpful items you could store, of a more bulky nature such as, walkers, canes, shower chairs, wheel chairs, etc. All of these items would be good to have, and can easily be purchased at garage sales and thrift stores.

Would this be considered skilled nursing care or sheltered nursing care?

Question by Daisy: Would this be considered skilled nursing care or sheltered nursing care?
My step-father is going into a nursing home soon. He is pretty much confined to a wheel-chair due to neuropathy and adverse affects from chemotherapy. He can feed himself, dress himself, basic care things, but he needs help getting from bed to wheel-chair, from wheel-chair to use the bathroom and needs help showering. So would this be considered skilled care, or sheltered care?
Hi Reggie Sweetie =) hope you and hubby had a good Valentines!

Here in the U.S., in nursing homes there are different levels of care depending on the person’s needs. I’m just trying to double check on this because he’s going to another place (which is long-term) in a few weeks. The new place is so incredibly nice, and the staff are very kind and attentive. I talked to six of the residents and they all said they liked it there, and we have heard lots of good things from people who have their loved ones there. But still this is a hard decision and I am trying to ease up on crying about it all the time. If he went home, he would be confimed and plus my dear Mom’s nerves would cause her to be irritable with him like usual, which is miserable for everyone. At this new place, there are lots of male patients that will be his buddies in no time, and they keep them very busy. It’s just 15 minutes from our house, and we can go a couple times a week to see him. XXOO

Hi Daisy ,he seems to do most for himself and perceives his own needs ?but assistance for his transfers are needed do you not have carers who can pop in for assistance of personal care and leave breakfast, lunch ,tea, and assist to bed in the evening ?we have this in the UK and over 60s receive this for free?evan sheltered accommodation where there is help and a warden 24hrs ,really he does not need nursing home care and if he were put in too early,it could cause him to get depressed some of his Independence just confidence and a place of easy access would be ideal for him ?and these places are fully adapted for wheelchair users?hope all goes ok ?

LYRICS: I opened my eyes Now I can see mice They’re running in my bed But I am not sad I’m lying in my cloud And looking around The sun is shining bright in sky This colour is white Blue water in bath I’m cleaning my mouth It smells of my socks I’m sitting in box I want to understand To remember to forgive What the day today Hey hey I don’t remember So I’m very angry I’m gone I think it’s cool But maybe it’s fool So what the day today-day I don’t remember (remember) (x2) It’s knock on my door: “knock! knock! knock! knock!” I walking on floor: “knock! knock! knock! knock!” I’m looking in glass Where is my dress I want the evening come To walk around, to go out I’m watching TV What can I see My head just like ball I’m stick at the wall I want to understand To remember to forgive What the day today Hey hey I don’t remember So I’m very angry I’m gone I think it’s cool But maybe it’s fool So what the day today-day I don’t remember (remember) (x2)

Not friday movie nights or romantic candlelights I’m just having conversation with the thoughts in my head All I hear are angels crying Why won’t they just sing instead? CHORUS: I know it’s wrong for me to say… I don’t need that girl/guy by my side I don’t need that guy in my life I don’t wanna talk it out Let him hold me when I cry I don’t wanna say he’s my kind I don’t wanna say that he’s mine I dont’ wanna tell him that I love him more than life, more than life… Verse 2: Honestly, this won’t do How is he doing? I tell myself I’m feeling swell But I know I’m such a fool. Just take it as a new beginning But you know I don’t feel that way. WHo will take this pain away?
